The New BMW X5

BMW has officially released information regarding new BMW X5 which will be the model for 2011.It is scheduled to be debuted at New York Auto show. The X5 has always been one of the most dependable SUV's of all time and this new model definitely makes many excited before its arrival.
On the outside it features revised wheels, new headlights; relocated fog lights and redesigned taillights. You now also get additional colour accents this time.

If you look inside for new additions you will only find new iDrive system with 6.5 inch display, there is also the option for a wider display at 8.8 inches but that is only available as an additional option. To be honest there is a lack of new updates inside the cabin however some new function are good to make up for everything missing. 
You get ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, panorama glass roof, four zone automatic climate control and DVD entertainment system.

To list the technological marvels this car is loaded with includes features like head up display, high beam assistant, park distance control, reversing camera, active cruise control, lane departure warning system and speed limit information display.
This vehicle is available in two petrol and two diesel versions. The previous 3.0 liter engine is replaced with 3.0 liter turbocharged inline six which is good for producing 302 horsepower and allows the vehicle to go from 0-100 KMPH in 6.8 seconds and it won't stop until it has reached the top speed of 235 KMPH. The consumption figures promise 100 kilometres for 10.1 litres.
On the other hand the X5 xDrive50i offers a 4.4 liter twin turbo v8 which replaced the previous naturally aspirated 4.8 liter v8.This engine is angry enough to produce 402 horsepower and thanks to this engine it takes this model only 5.5 seconds to reach 100 kilometres per hour before reaching a top speed of 250 KMPH. The fuel usage for this one is 100 kilometres for 12.5 litres.
Talking about the diesel side, BMW offers two turbocharged 3.0 liter inline six engines. X5 XDrive 40d is capable of producing 3.2 horsepower and reaches 100 KMPH in 6.6 seconds with a top speed of 236 KMPH. Average fuel consumption here is 7.5 litres for 100 kilometres. On the other hand X5 xDrive30d is able to produce 241 horsepower and allows 0-100 in 7.4 seconds.
Now all of these engines are mated with a sight speed automatic transmission which brings outstanding shifting dynamics, optimized effectiveness and highest degree of comfort. As reported by the company.
Further features include a servotronic steering system which is speed dependent. This car is will go on sale in the united states in April and the sales in UK and Germany are scheduled for June. The price is between £ 43,980-£ 54,200.
